One of the reasons Michelle and I have no immediate plans to leave Kwaj is because of the tremendous natural beauty found all around. We love experiencing God’s amazing creation and having it so nearby is such a treat. It continues to be our hope that more and more of our friends can make the journey to our small part of the world and experience these things first hand. I do realize that many of you won’t be able to make the trek unfortunately, but this is why we do our best to share as much as we can with you online.
As much as we both love taking photos, sometimes pictures just don’t fully capture God’s creativity in this place. So I’ve begun borrowing an idea from my friend, Matt Gerber, and simply placed our camera in the water and let nature do its thing.
What you’ll see is something incredibly beautiful and unique. It is often easy for me to forget that for millennia, these ecosystems have existed simply to glorify God. Even when I’m not there taking pictures of their beauty, they are ever radiant. I’m excited to share these relaxing, colorful and sometimes even funny videos and have begun uploading these samples of creation to my YouTube page – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtV1g9-uL-W61ChoAhiYDkw I plan to continue adding new videos frequently because you never know what you’re going to see! After just a few tries, we’ve already had a shark pass by and had some very curious fish.
You’ll also start seeing additional videos from our small island in the Pacific. While we still hope that you create an adventure of your own out here, hopefully this allows you to have a mini one wherever you find yourself.
I hope you enjoy these scenes as much as I do and that they bring you joy.
